All At Sea – The World Premiere of Seafaring Folk – 10th October 2021

In September 2019 we were delighted to be one of 7 groups to be selected by ‘Making Music’ to adopt a composer. We have been working with the composer Jonathan Brigg to produce a new piece of music, Seafaring Folk, specially written for the orchestra.

We will perform our new piece for the first time on Sunday October 10th 2021 at 3pm at the Sullington Tithe Barn near Storrington in Sussex as part of our All at Sea concert.  This also features maritime tales and tunes with local historial Chris Hare and the sea shanty group The Duckpond Sailors.

Tickets priced at £12.50 are available from Ticket Source  using this link – all proceeds to Olly’s Future a suicide prevention charity.

Adopt a Composer is run by Making Music in partnership with Sound and Music, funded by PRS Foundation and the Philip and Dorothy Green Music Trust.
